Dhargey University Project

The Tibetan Cultural Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is solely for the dissemination of the teachings of the Buddha Dharma. We have been a organization since 1994 and have been working hard towards the establishment of a Buddhist university for higher learning. It is our intention to build a Buddhist university for the purpose of developing a comprehensive translations of the original Tibetan translations into English. This is an on going project that has been originally pursued during the last five years. The problem that we have had so far is that we have a great limitation.

This is where you can be of great assistance to our goal. We are requesting the assistance of all who read this. Please send us whatever you can. If a dollar is the only thing that you can send please send it and tell a friend about our organization and our goal to start a Buddhist university. We want the public to be a part of our religious endeavors. We want to be able to provide to the public a place of assembly. Tax deductable donations can be made at http://www.dhargeyproject.org/

Our thought of a location to look for land and build a monastery is in Connecticut. Although our organization started in Massachusetts and has been registered there, we think that in the area near Hartford will be the best place to begin our project. Our initial goal is to raise about 3 million dollars for the project this would buy the land and we could start building the monastery. We are asking you for your support because without this, our abilities are limited. Please feel free to contact me for any more information at: jampa@dhargeyproject.org whatever you can offer us is a beginning for us.

Sincerely

Gelong Jampa Kunchog
